Aerial

Last Saturday we decided to splash out and took a 20 minute helicopter ride around Manhattan. It was one of the best things I’ve done since being in NYC.

The ride launched off from the South Ferry at the tip of Manhattan, circled over Brooklyn and around the a Statue of Liberty. Ralph, our pilot, then took us all the way up the Hudson river (which runs the length of the island) giving us great views of all the sights; Empire State, Central Park and so on. He then cut in over the island and circled over the Yankee stadium, looped back to fly over George Washington Bridge and then back down the Hudson.

It was an awesome experience and Alice managed to wangle me the front seat of the heli so my views were prime.

If you’re ever in NYC this is certainly one thing worth doing.
