Big Sur
We spent two days camping in-between the giant redwoods along the Big Sur coastline (still on Highway 1). It was an amazing contrast to what we had seen inland (Yosemite and other) and quite mind-blowing to see how much the geography changes along the way.
The ‘luxury camping’ was great, featuring a serviced cabin with all the basic amenities. As it was mid-week the campsite was pretty empty; except for our local skunk who would come round and do an evening inspection.
