Yosemite
Yosemite is probably the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to. We were lucky to get a last minute booking for two nights in the park (as opposed to camping outside the park) in a self service camp.
On our one full day we embarked on a 6-hour hike that took us up the Merced river and over its two waterfalls; Vernal and Nevada Falls. The hike was amazing and due to the massive amount of snow they received over winter the falls were extremely full.
Unfortunately quite a lot of the hiking routes were still closed as a result of the heavy winter, so climbing the Half Dome wasn’t an option. Probably a good thing considering!
It’s an amazing place that is definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in Cali.
